Vientiane – Laos

This was the 25th stop of the “Reviravolta ao Mundo”.

We only went to the capital to ask for the Vietnamese and Cambodian visas. We decided to ask that in advance because we would cross the border by bus. Also we saw many blogs where people report corruption cases in these borders.

We stayed 4 days in the capital and it was the first time on the trip we felt an very uncomfortable with the high temperature. Besides not having much to do in the city, the high temperatures were discouraging us to try to find something to do. We visited the main monuments Patuxai (looks like the Arc de Triomphe), the presidential palace, the park, the statue of Chao Anouvong and the night market. We got our visas and headed to Vietnam for a 24 hours bus trip to Hanoi.

We were very apprehensive for this trip, but we did it anyway.
