Tonsai was the nineteenth stop of “Reviravolta ao Mundo”. Tonsai is an interesting beach. It is in the Andaman Sea (West Coast) and even being a beach on the mainland, its access is by boat only. A natural barrier of mountains and forests prevent access by land, leaving the beach secluded and even more beautifull.
Out what nature offers, which pleases in Tonsai is the kind of people who go to the beach. A mixture of people from all around the world who go there to relax and climbing. As the climb is not yet on the list of sports practiced by the “Reviravolta ao Mundo”, we just look at people climbing the incredible slopes of Tonsai and enjoying the beach. There are also people who make the mountain tracks and jump with a parachute!
Besides all this, Tonsai still is next to no less beautiful and most famous Railay Beach (another beach on the mainland but only accessible by boat). The sunset on Railay is simply a must.
We stayed 5 days in Tonsai and could stay there for 15, 20 days because we fell in love with the place.
